I'm so excited you're here! I've been behind a camera for almost a decade, and in that time, I've learned that a great photo isn't just about snapping a picture—it's about curating a whole vibe. As an Aquarius, I'm all about creating unique cinematic, story-driven images that capture your real, authentic life. And yeah, I'm probably the Gen Z photographer getting yelled at for stopping traffic for the perfect shot, because I'm that committed to getting you a photo that makes you feel something!!
When I'm not snapping photos, I am probably hanging out with my partner (who I have been with since I got my first camera!). We have three amazing fur babies together, and one sweet angel waiting for us at the rainbow bridge.

I'm an aquarius
so I like to use that as an excuse for my off-the-wall ideas & forward way of thinking! I always strive to be different from the mold, so to speak.
My purpose is
seeing my clients, especially my fellow women, leave so excited after their session. Helping push women forward in their self love journey is so fulfilling.
My family Nickname
is "Shahie", which means "the moon" in certain languages. This name helped fuel the decision to name my business Luna Lights Photography!
My core values
positive self-talk only
I am an avid body neutrality advocate and am super big on self love at every stage. When you shoot with me, I do not believe you "need to lose 10 pounds before booking" and no I will not be photoshopping you skinnier. I love and want you as is!

As the 'B' in LGBTQIA+, I ask everyone I work with to be respectful and kind — intolerance is not welcome.
I do NOT tolerate homophobia or hate speech from clients, EVER!
Black lives matter
In this household, black lives have ALWAYS mattered but to the government that has yet to be shown. In my business, I will always strive to protect my clients of color. Not just because it is the right thing to do, but because I also do not condone ignorance and bigotry.
I support women. end of sentence. period.
Whether I am behind the camera or not, a pillar in my business has ALWAYS, and will ALWAYS, be about supporting fellow women. From capturing their most vulnerable moments, to hearing their stories of triumph, to wiping their tears of sorrow, I am my sisters' sister. I will be a safe haven for all women, forever. Their secrets and truths are always safe with me.
